The need to provide affordable housing is an ever present requirement, this masterclass considers a number of different models to suit both urban, fringe and rural authority settings and considers the ways in which custom and self build housing can be delivered as affordable housing. We will be hearing from those who have created innovative project opportunities and have consequently been at the sharp end of delivery, who understand the challenges and how to win through. In this session we will be taking the audience through a number of innovative schemes using case study examples which will provide insight and learning for the ‘how to’.
This masterclass is particularly suitable for local authority planning officers working in Development Management, Planning Policy, Housing Enabling and Estates Departments, Elected members, Housing portfolio holders, Self Build Officers and Self Build Community Housing Groups.
