The Task Force has announced a new masterclass, running on 28 June from 12:30-14:00.

Local Plans - The Changing Landscape: How local plan policies can help councils manage and grow the delivery of self and custom build housing.

This new training will consider how local plan policies can help councils manage and grow the delivery of self and custom build housing in their area. This is an important consideration as authorities work to fulfil their duties set out by the Right to Build leglisation. 

The session will reference ways to ensure plans are sound and supported by robust evidence sharing current good practice. It will provide an update on local plan policies and share lessons from recent local plan examinations.

The session speakers will be:
Mary Elkington MRTPI Planner and Right to Build Task Force Expert.
Three Dragons Viability and housing specialists who will provide tips on good practice in housing needs assessment and plan viability for self build.
Council planning policy officer(s) Sharing experiences from both rural and urban perspectives in putting in place positive local plan policies.
