Repeat 7/12: Masterclass - how should LPAs engage with Custom and Self Build Enablers?

01 November 2022

The Task Force is repeating its Masterclass sharing insight into the role of custom and self build enablers, and how LPAs can engage with them.

Running fron 11:30-13:00 on 7 December, this Masterclass builds on the succesful programme of events to date, and is free to anyone working in a local authority.

For local authorities working to deliver custom and self build locally, a good working relationship can ensure the smooth and timely delivery of custom and self build. To secure this, it is important to understand how enablers work, and how you, as an authority, can effectively engage with them.

This is especially important on sites brought forward on council-owned land or schemes, and on sites brought forwards as a result of a percentage policy for custom and self build.

Local authorities are adept at working with national housing providers, but working with an enabler can be a new and different experience. This masterclass has been curated to share knowledge, expertise and experiences to support good practise, with enablers working in the sector sharing their own models and approaches, as well as an LPA sharing its perspective on procurement.

Tickets cost £80 (incl VAT) or are FREE to local authority employees - email Zoey for the discount code: Taskforce@righttobuild.org.uk
